1. Preparation before installation
Material inspection
Hose specifications: must comply with GB/T 26002-2023 standard, pressure resistance ≥0.4MPa, applicable temperature -20℃~150℃.
Flange standard: The flange plate should comply with HG/T 20592-2009 (PN16), and the sealing surface should be flat and free of scratches.
Sealing gasket: Use oil-resistant asbestos gasket or polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) gasket, thickness 2~3mm.
Tool preparation
Torque wrench (tighten flange bolts)
Leak detector (check air tightness)
Level (ensure the pipe is straight)
2. Installation steps
(1) Flange alignment: the parallelism deviation of the two flange plates is ≤0.5mm/m, and the center deviation of the bolt holes is ≤1mm. Bolt tightening: Use cross-symmetrical tightening method (tighten in 2-3 times)
(2) Hose layout requirements Bending radius: ≥5 times the hose outer diameter (avoid dead bends or twists) Fixed spacing: Horizontal pipeline: 1 pipe clamp every 1.5m Vertical pipeline: 1 pipe clamp every 1m Safety distance: ≥150mm from heat source ≥300mm from electrical equipment
(3) Air tightness test Pressure test standard: Strength test: 1.5 times the working pressure (0.6MPa), maintain pressure for 10 minutes, no pressure drop. Air tightness test: 1.1 times the working pressure (0.44MPa), soap water test, no bubbles.
3. Safety Precautions
Prohibitions
Hose contact with sharp objects (to prevent abrasion)
Hose stretching or twisting (to prevent breakage of the metal braid)
Using raw tape instead of special gaskets (to prevent leaks)
Regular Inspections
Monthly inspection: Check flange bolts for looseness (torque loss ≤ 10%)
Annual replacement: If the hose is over 8 years old or cracks or rust develops
4. Troubleshooting Common Problems with Braided Flange Stainless Steel Gas Hose
Problem | Cause | Solution |
Flange leak | Gasket deterioration/loose bolts | Replace gaskets and retighten bolts |
Hose deformation | Insufficient bend radius | Adjust the route and increase the bend radius |
Large pressure fluctuations | Lack of pipe clamps | Add pipe clamps to reduce vibration |
