What are the common misunderstandings of stainless steel corrugated hose during installation?

2025-05-25

1. Inspection and maintenance omissions
The stainless steel corrugated hose was not tested for air tightness at 1.5 times the working pressure after installation. Regular inspections were ignored, and no cracking of the coating or rusting of the joints was found until a gas odor appeared. The product was not equipped with safety equipment when it was put into use, such as the flameout protection device.

2. Improper handling of the hose
The threaded interface was not screwed to 4 times the pitch length, or the sealing gasket was not installed correctly, resulting in leakage. Forced disassembly of the joint decomposition ring or reuse of the old joint causes the nut to loosen. The worker drags the hose during transportation, causing the coating to be damaged. If it is not replaced in time, moisture will penetrate and corrode the original pipe. 2 meters without using a casing to protect the buried hose, and the concrete directly contacts and causes corrosion.

3. Wrong selection of materials
Some stainless steel corrugated hoses are misused without clearly marking the interface type or function code. Some hose names and models are inconsistent, and non-buried hoses are mistakenly used in buried scenes, resulting in insufficient thickness of the anti-corrosion layer. The use of 304/316 stainless steel or failure to pass the salt spray test causes rapid rusting of hoses in coastal areas.
